India invited to bat first lost Dhawan early and when they reached 48 runs in 7 overs lost Parthiv Patel who hit 26 runs and Kohli and soon struggling at 56/4 in 9 overs as Darren Sammy took 4 wickets for just 16 runs. Badrinath 43 runs and Rohit Sharma 26 runs then put 71 runs in 9 overs while Pathan and Bhajji hit quickfire unbeaten 15 runs each to lift the score to 159 runs.
West Indies lost 2 wickets on 22 runs and reached 88/2 but wasted too many overs as they reached there in 15 overs with Bravo ht run a ball 41 runs. In the end Barnwell hit 16 balls 34 runs but it was tooo late and lost the match by 16 runs.
