India finally won the Asia cup after
15 years as they beat host
Sri Lanka by
81 runs in the Final on Thursday, 24th June, 2010 at Dambulla.
Ind made 268/6 in 50 overs and bowled out
SL on 187 runs in 44.4 overs.
India got a good start by Karthik and Gambhir with 38 runs in 6 overs and India made a competitive total of 268/6 as Karthik hit 66 runs well supported by Dhoni 38 and Rohit Sharma 41 runs.
Indian bowlers then bowled superbly as Praveen got danger man Dilshan on duck and then Zaheer and Nehra reduced
Sri Lanka to 51-5 with 2 and 4 wickets respectively. Kapugedra hit unbeaten 55 runs in the end to reduce the margin of loss.

Man of the Match while Pakistan's Shahid Afridi got
Man of the Series for his 2 centuries in the series.
