Two injured players VVS Laxman and Ishant Sharma put a 81 runs 9th wicket partnership and India clinched an unbelievable victory over Australia by 1 wicket on the 5th and final day of the 1st test on Tuesday, 5th October, 2010 at Mohali. India now leading the 2 match series by 1-0.

India started the 5th day with 161 more runs with 6 wickets in hand but soon thei most trusted batsman Tendulkar out on 38 runs followed by Dhoni, zaheer and Harbhajan and India were struggling on 124/8.
