West Indies Team, Squad for 2009 ODI Series against India

West Indies cricket board has announced team for short 4 match ODI series against India starting from 26th June to 5th July, 2009.

Brother of all rounder Dwayne Bravo, Darren Bravo has been included for the 1st time in West Indies team, who scored 605 runs at 43.21 for Trinidad & Tobago in the domestic season. Narsingh Deonarine, the highest run score in four-day domestic competition with 1,068 runs at 59.33 with seven half-centuries has also been included in the team. All rounder David Bernard has been called up for injured Fidel Edward.

Indian Team, Squad for 2009 Tour of West Indies - Tendulkar, Zaheer rested - Nehra in

After the early exclusion from the 2009 Twenty20 World Cup, India is going to play short ODI series against West Indies. Indian selectors announced the team on Wednesday, 17th June, 2009 with 4 main player out of the team due to injury.

Sachin Tendulkar and Zaheer Khan has been rested to recover fully for their injuries during IPL2 while hard hitter opener Virender Sehwag and middle order batsman Suresh Raina are out due to injury. Irfan Pathan and Munaf Patel who toured New Zealand has not been included in the team.

M Vijay will replace Sehwag while Asish Nehra has rewarded is good form in IPL2.
