India won the second ODI in a thrilling encounter by just 15 runs against Sri Lanka on Saturday, 31st January, 2009 at Colombo under lights. India now leading the 5 match series by 2-0.

Indian captain won 7th continuous toss against Sri Lanka and elected to bat first, gota flying start as they reached 62 runs in 9 overs thanks to Sehwag and Gambhir. Yuraj and Raina added the momentum but they calloapsed in last overs to manage only 256/9 in 50 overs around 30 to 4o runs short.

In reply Sri Lanka reduced to 36/3 but 100 run partnership between Jayawardhane and Kandamby put back in contest, scored 52 and 93 not out but unable to finish the match and short by 15 runs. Ishanth took 4 crucialwickets.

Match Summary:

India - 256/9 in 50 overs.

Sri Lanka - 241 all out in 49.2 overs.

Toss - India, who chose to bat first.

Result - India won by 15 runs.

Man of The Match -Ishanth Sharma (India).

Series - India led the 5-match series 2-0.

India is planning to extend the lead by 3-0 in the 7 match series as third ODI between India and England will be played on Thursday, 20th December, 2008 At Green Park, Kanpur, 9.30 IST. India is leading the series by 2-0 and won both the matches by big margin of 158 and 54 runs.

3rd ODI between India and England will be played on Thursday, 20th December, 2008 at Green Park, Kanpur. India is leading the 7 match series by 2-1.

Star seamer Ishanth Sharma who missed last 2 ODI's is now declared fit and available for 3rd ODI. Ishanth may replace RP Singh or Munaf Patel and rest of the team will be same.

More problem for England, as Ryan Sidebottom is sent back due to injury and They have to do something extraordinary against England the inform India.

India won Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 2-0 - Goodbye Ganguly

India won the 4th and final test match by 172 runs on the 5th day and hence the series and Border Gavaskar Trophy by 2-0 on Monday, 10th November, 2008 at Nagpur. Chasing a target of 382 runs to retain the trophy http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ bowled out on 209 runs before tea.

http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ started the chase from 13/0 and soon reduced to 50/2 but Hayden was in good form and fought well with 77 runs and after that Australian collpased and all out on 209 runs in 50.2 overs.

This is India's first series win over Australia in eight years and regained the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy. India also won the 2nd match at Mohali. Indian spinners Harbhajan and Amit Mishra bowled superbly took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

Dhoni let the Saurav Ganguly, playing his last test as a tribute to captain the side and that was a defining spirit for the game and Indian cricket.

Debutant Jason KKrejza awarded Man of the Match for his 12 wickets in the match and Ishanth Sharma has won the car for Man of the Series.
