India make a complete white wash in 5 match series after winning the final one day by 8 wickets with 173 balls remaining. Yuvraj Singh got Man of the Match for his 2 wickets and unbeaten 42 runs while Gautam Gambhir got Man of the Series for scoring 329 runs at an average of 109.66 with 2 centuries.

India won the 5th and final ODI against New Zealand easily by 8 wickets in only 21.1 overs and make a clean sweep by winning the series by 5-0 on Friday, 10th December, 2010 at Chennai. NZL all out 103 in 27 overs and IND made 107/2 in 21.1 overs.

New Zealand all out cheaply thanks to tight bowling by spinners as R Ashwin took 3 wickets while Nehra, Pathan and Yuvraj took 2 wickets each. India then lost 2 early wickets but Parthiv Patel 56* and Yuvraj 42* complete the match with 173 balls remaining.

Yuvraj Singh got Man of the Match for his 2 wickets and unbeaten 42 runs while Gautam Gambhir got man of the Series for scoring 329 runs at an average of 109.66 with 2 centuries.

Fifth and final one day international between host India and New Zealand will be played on Friday, 10th December, 2010 at MA Chidambaram Stadium, Chepauk, Chennai, in a day-night game and timing will be 9:00 GMT, 14:30 IST. India leading the 5 match series by 4-0.

Yusuf Pathan's brilliant century gives India a chance to make a white wash with another win. Their batsmen are in great form and they can change their batting order to give lower order a chance to expose. Munaf Patel can come back in place of Praveen Kumar.

New Zealand will be disappointed with the loss after brilliant show by their batsmen specially Franklin, who hit career best unbeaten 98 runs. Their bowling is a little worry and they have to bowl well to avoid another white wash.

Yusuf Pathan hit his career turning inning with an unbeaten maiden ODI century with 123 not out off 96 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes and turned a dead rubber match into a thriller and set a 5 wicket win and helps India to take 4-0 lead in 5 match series. He also took 3 wickets and probably end India's search for an all rounder for the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

India successfully chased the highest score of the series 315 runs thanks to Yusuf Pathan's 96 balls 123 not out runs and set a 5 wicket win with 7 balls remaining and extend their lead to 4-0 in a rain inturrepted game on Tuesday, 7th December, 2010 at Bangalore. NZL made 315/7 in 50 overs and IND made 321/5 in 48.5 overs


New Zealand got their best opening stand of the series 62 runs in 8 overs and then converted it to highest score of the series with a total of 315/7 thanks to Franklin's unbeaten 98 runs off just 69 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes with contributions from McCullum 42, Taylor 44 and Styris 46 runs as Pathan took 3 wickets.

India also got a good start by Parhive Patel's 53 runs but lost quick wickets and struggling at 108/4 but Yusuf Pathan first put 80 runs with Rohit Sharma 44 and then put unbeaten 133 runs in 16 overs with Saurabh Tiwary 37* to set an easy 5 wicket win with 7 balls remaining. Yusuf Pathan hit unbeaten 123 runs off 96 balls with 7 fours and 7 sixes.

India won the 5 match series by 3-0 with 2 matches to go after winning the 3rd one day easily by 9 wickets. Gautam Gambhir got another Man of the Match for his 2nd successive century of the series. Zaheer Khan took 2 wickets after returning from injury.

Gautam Gambhir's form continues as he hit successive century to help India won the third match by 9 wickets with 63 balls remaining and won the series by 3-0 with 2 games to go against New Zealand on Saturday, 4th December, 2010 at Baroda. NZL made 224/9 in 50 overs and IND made 229/1 in 39.3 overs.

New Zealand got a poor start as Zaheer Khan took the wicket of Brandon McCullum, both returns from injury and they lost regular wickets and struggling at 106/7 but Franklin 72* and Nathan McCullum 43 helps them to put a respecting total of 224/9. Zaheer Khan, R Ashwin and Yususf Pathan took 2 wickets each.

India again got a good start as Gambhir and Vijay 30 put 115 runs opening partnership and then with Kohli 63 put another 114 runs to seal the victory. Gautam Gambhir hit ceonsecetive century of the series with unbeaten 126 runs off 117 balls with 16 fours.

India will try to wrap up the series after dominated in the first 2 ODI's and with the return of Zaheer Khan their bowling will be improved but they will miss Sreesanth who took 7 wickets in 2 games has been rested for the remaining series along with Raina. Keeper Saha will have last game as he is replaced by Parthive Patel for the last 2 games and rested for the South Africa series. Saurabh Tiwari may get a chance to play in the middle order.

Stand-in captain Gautam Gambhir hit his 8th ODI century with unbeaten 138 runs as India comfortably beat New Zealand by 8 wickets with 42 balls remaining in the 2nd one day and took a lead of 2-0 in 5 match series.

Gautam Gambhir is back in form with an unbeaten century as India comfortably chased 258 runs and won the 2nd one day by 8 wickets against New Zealand on Wednesday, 1st December, 2010 at Jaipur. NZL made 258/8 in 50 overs and IND made 259/2 in 43 overs.

New Zealand put a competitive total of 258/8 thanks to 70 runs by opener Guptill and 59 runs by Scott Styris with quick runs by Vettori & Mills in the end as Sreessanth took 4 wickets. In reply India got a good start with 87 runs partnership for the opening wicket by Vijay 33 and Gambhir. Gambhir then put 116 runs for the 2nd wicket with Kohli 64, on his way to his 8th one day century with unbeaten 138 runs off 116 balls with 18 fours and set an easy 8 wicket win with 42 balls remaining and takes 2-0 lead in the 5 match series.
