India vs South Africa 5th ODI Photos, Images - Amla Man of the Match, Morne Morkel Man of the Series

South Africa won the 5 match ODI series by 3-2 coming from behind as they won the 5th and final one day by 33 runs in a thrilling inning by Yususf Pathan who hit 70 balls 105 runs only to be on the losing side before Amla hit 116 not out runs and got Man of the Match while Morne Morkel got Man of the Series for his 12 wickets in 5 matches.

South Africa outperformed India in a thrilling 5th and final one day, won by 33 runs (D/L) and won the series by 3-2 in a day game on Sunday, 23rd January, 2011 at Centurion. SAF made 250/9 in a rain hit 46 over match and IND managed 234 all out in 40.2 chasing a target of 268 runs in 46 overs.

South Africa once again lost Smith early but Amla and van Wyk (56 runs) put 97 runs for the 2nd wicket and they were 226/3 after 42 overs when rain stops play and match reduced to 46 overs as they lost 6 wickets for 24 runs in 4 overs, but Hashim Amla hit brilliant unbeaten century with 116 runs off 132 balls with 9 fours.

India chasing a revised target of 268 runs in 46 runs struggled from start and soon reduced to 98/7 after 19 overs, but wait match is not overs as Yusuf Pathan was there and he then played brutal inning of 105 runs off just 70 balls with 8 fours and 8 sixes and before he out India needed just 50 runs off 68 balls but after that match was over as Morne Morkel took 4 wickets.

Hashim Amla got Man of the Match for his 116 not out runs while Morne Morkel got Man of the Seres for his 12 wickets at an average of 11.41

Two top teams India and host South Africa will now meet in the series decider 5th and final ODI on Sunday, 23rd January, 2011 at SuperSport Park, Centurion in a day game and timing will be 08:00 GMT, 10:00 local, 13:30 IST 5 match seeries currently level at 2-2 ater 4 matches.

India is struggling with their openers as part time openers are not clicking as they were giving slow start and then the pressure shown on middle and lower orders. Virat Kohli played well inthe last game as Yusu played match winning knock in the 3rd match and now they need support rom Yuvraj, Raina and Dhoni or the historic win.

South Africa will be on high after convincing series leveling win and good thing for them is that JP Duminy s back in form with consistent good show with the lower order. Imran Tahir may not a get chance as they don't want him to expose before World Cup.

South Africa bounced back strongly after two lost and won the 4th one day by 48 runs in the rain inturrepted match to level the 5 match series 2-2, on Friday, 21st January, 2011 at Port Elizabeth. SAF made 265/7 in 50 overs and IND were 142/6 in 32.5 overs when rain stops play.

South Africa got a good start by Amla's 64 runs but then they reduced to 118/5 in 23 overs as Yuvraj took 3 wickets but JP Duminy hit unbeaten 71 runs off 72 balls to set a tough total of 265 on a slow track well supported by Botha, who made 44 runs. India then again got a poor start and soon reduced to 49/3 but Kohli fought hard with unbeaten 87 runs but didn't get any support from other end they were 142/6 when rain stops play well behind 48 runs as per D/L method. JP Duminy got Man of the Match for his 71 runs.

South Africa - 265/7 in 50 overs (Duminy 71*, Amla 64, Botha 44, Yuvraj 3-34)

India - 142/6 in 32.5 overs (Kohli 87*, Tsotsobe 2-25)

South Africa easly beat India by a huge amount with 135 runs win in the1st ODI thanks to good show by batsman and bowlers. AB de Villiers got Man of the Match award for his 76 runs.

In an one sided 1st one day, host South Africa crushed India by 135 runs and takes the 1-0 lead in the 5 match series on Wednesday, 12th January, 2011 at Durban. SAF made 289/9 in 50 overs and IND all out on 154runs in 35.4 overs.

South Africa won the toss lost 2 wickets early but Amla hit 36 balls 50 runs and then AB de Viiliers and JP Duminy put 131 runs in 22 overs made 76 and 73 runs respectively and Guided them to a tough total of 289/9. India then lost openers early but lost wickets regularly due to good bowling by Morkel (2-12), Steyn (2-29) and Tsotsobe (4-31) bowled out visitors cheaply on 154 runs even though Kohli fight with 54 runs.

AB deVilliers got Man of the Match for his 69 balls 76 runs with 7 fours and a six.
