India won Border-Gavaskar Trophy by 2-0 - Goodbye Ganguly

India won the 4th and final test match by 172 runs on the 5th day and hence the series and Border Gavaskar Trophy by 2-0 on Monday, 10th November, 2008 at Nagpur. Chasing a target of 382 runs to retain the trophy http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ bowled out on 209 runs before tea.

http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ started the chase from 13/0 and soon reduced to 50/2 but Hayden was in good form and fought well with 77 runs and after that Australian collpased and all out on 209 runs in 50.2 overs.

This is India's first series win over Australia in eight years and regained the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy. India also won the 2nd match at Mohali. Indian spinners Harbhajan and Amit Mishra bowled superbly took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

Dhoni let the Saurav Ganguly, playing his last test as a tribute to captain the side and that was a defining spirit for the game and Indian cricket.

Debutant Jason KKrejza awarded Man of the Match for his 12 wickets in the match and Ishanth Sharma has won the car for Man of the Series.
