India vs New Zealand 1st ODI Live Score, Teams - Tendulkar Returns


First of the 5 match ODI series between New Zealand and touring India will be played on Tuesday, 3rd March , 2009 at McLean Park, Napier in a day-night game starting from 14:00 local, 01:00 GMT. India lost the T20 series by 2-0.

After defeat in the shortest form the game India is hoping to come back strongly with the return of Sachin Tendulkar, who will open the inning with Virendar Sehwag. Gambhir will come one down as Yusuf and Irfan Pathan will likely be the part of the team.

New Zealand has edge over visitors after 2-0 win in T20 as all top orders like Jesse Ryder, Martin Guptill and Ross Taylor while Brendon McCullum are in great form. Allrounder Grant Elliott will replace Nathan McCullum as well as Mills will be back from injury.

After thrilling two match Twenty20 series host New Zealand and India will meet for the 5 match ODI series as first match will be played on Tuesday, 3rd March, 2009 at McLean Park, Napier in a day-night game starting from 14:00 local, 01:00 GMT. New Zealand won the 2 match T20 series by 2-0.

India will try to put the Twenty20 loss behind and start as a fresh in the limited version of the game. India lost both T20 match in over-confidence and they have to rethink their strategy in ODI's.

New Zealand is lot high in confidence after crushing win in T20 and their moral is very high to beat visitors in ODI's also. Brandon McCullum is in great form to take the home team on the winning path.
