Regular captain MS Dhoni returns to lead the 3 match test series after rested for ODI & T20, and Sachin Tendulkar not included for his request while Sehwag, Gambhir and Pujara still recovering from their injuries and added to the list are fast bowlers Zaheer Khan and Sreesanth.

S Badrinath rewarded for his domestic form with Abhimanyu Mithun and Abhinav Mukund. Ishant Sharma come backs in the team with Praveen Kumar and Ojha. Test veterans Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman has returned in the team. Parthiv Patel will be the reserved keeper for the series.
