India beat England easily by 6 wickets in the 5th ODI at on Wednesday, 26th November, 2008. India won the toss and invited England to bat first in the day-night game. England scored 270 in 50 overs but India chased easily with 38 balls remaining.

England shown their best batting performance of the series, scored 270 runs in 50 overs thanks to Kavin Pietersen's century, scored 111 unbeaten runs off 128 balls with 10 fours and 1 six well supported by Collingwood and Owais Shah 40 and 66 not out runs respectively.

India started brilliantly wit an opening partnership of 136 runs between Sehwag and Tendulkar, scored 91 off just 73 balls with 15 fours and 1 six and 50 runs respectively. But 2 wickets in 2 balls put England back in the game but 94 runs partnership between Dhoni and Raina, scored 50 and 53 runs respectively take India home for the 5-0 lead in the 7 match series.

273/4 in 43.4 overs.

Result - India won by 6 wickets (with 38 balls remaining).

India already won the seven match series by 4-0 and 3 matches to go and Indians are planning for a complete wash out when they meet England for the 5th ODI on Wednesday, 26th November, 2008 at Barabati Stadium, Cuttack. 5th ODI will be a Day-Night game and start from 2.30 PM IST.

India is planning to rest some of the key players and give chance some reseve players as they alredy win the series. Irfan Pathan, Pragyan Ojha, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma may get a chance to play for India.

England is under lot of pressure specially after the won 4-0 against South Africa last month and here they are in danger of losing 7-0.

In a thrilling shortened 5th ODI between India beat England by 40 runs in a day-night game at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore on Sunday, 23rd November, 2008. Match shortened to 22 overs due to rain India made 166/4 in alloted overs and set a target of 198 runs in 22 overs for England as per rules.

India after invited to bat first started well by Tendulkar and Sehwag. Tendulkar went early and after lot of rains in the middle and cut of overs Sehwag played brilliantly with Gambhir scored 79 runs contributed 69 runs and 40 runs respectively. Yuraj also contributed with 25 off just 11 balls and Yusuf Pathan hit last ball six for his 1 ball he played.

England got a revised target of 198 runs in 22 overs to win the match and stay in series started aggressively by Owais Shah who promoted at no. 3 Shah made 72 runs off 48 balls with 9 fours and 3 sixes. Flitoff also hit 41 off 30 balls but after that England not able to maintained required run rate, and at the end made 178/8, but they fought well

Result - India won by 19 runs (D/L method).

Fourth ODI between India and England will be played on Sunday, 23rd November, 2008 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, the first day night game of the series starting at 2.30 PM IST. India leading the 7 match series by 3-0.

India made two changes in the team and Sachin Tendulkar will likely replace by either Suresh Raina or Rohit Sharma. Their should be no change in the bowling department as all the bowlers are doing well. IndiaIndia will try to wrap up the series at Bangalore by 4-0.

Indian selectors has announced the team for next two One Day Internationals - ODI i.e. 4th and 5th ODI's of 7 match series against England on Thursday, 20th November, 2008. Sachin Tendulkar has been selected after rest and Irfan Pathan has made surprising come back in the Indian team after long time.
