New Zealand put a competitive total of 258/8 thanks to 70 runs by opener Guptill and 59 runs by Scott Styris with quick runs by Vettori & Mills in the end as Sreessanth took 4 wickets. New Zealand in the reply lost regular wickets as only Ross Taylor made 66 runs in the middle and they were struggling on 169/8 after 35 overs and then Nathan McCullum 35 runs and Mills 32 runs put 67 runs in 10 overs for the 9th wicket and put some fighting the end but Sresanth took both the wickets in 2 balls to give India a 40 runs win.
