India comfortably beat Australia in the 2nd test by 7 wickets on the 5th and final day with much ease against thrilling 1st test and proved they are the no.1 team on Wednesday, 13th October, 2010 at Bangalore. India won the 2 match series by 2-0.

India finished the Australian inning in the morning to 223 runs and set a target of 207 runs in more than 75 overs. India then lost Sehwag early but debutant Pujara who promoted up in the order played brilliantly under pressure with 72 runs off just 89 balls and took the match away from Australians. M Vijay also contributed 37 runs and then veterans Tendulkar 53* and Dravid 21* takes the team to victory.

Ricky Ponting's bad luck continues to win a test in India as captain and lost 4 matches in a row. But 2 match series was very competitive with high level performance from both sides with result on last day.

After a thrilling nail-biting 1st test between bitter rivals India and Australia, teams are ready for the second and final test match starting from Saturday, 9th October to Wednesday, 13th Oct, 2010 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengalure and timing will be 4:00 GMT, 9:30 IST. India leading the 2 match series by 1-0.

India will be high on confidence after moral boosting win and they already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy even they lost and they will be happy for even a draw but a 2-0 win will improve their points. Gautam Gambhir and 1st test hero Ishant Sharma out due to injury, and likely replace by M Vijay and Sreesanth respectively. Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund and Saurashtra quick bowler Jaidev Unadkat picked as backup.

Australia already lost Border-Gavaskar Trophy will try to level the series as Ricky Ponting finding his 1st win in India. Watson is in good form but Katich didn't contributed as expected while North failed in both innings. Doug Bollinger didn't bowl on the final session and his inclusion is doubtful.

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has won his first ICC award, the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy being elected as Cricketer of the Year during the 2010 ICC Award ceremony in Bangalore. India's Virender Sehwag won the Test Cricketer of the Year award and South Africa's AB de Villiers claiming the ODI player of the Year award.

Sachin Tendulkar, beat Virender Sehwag, Hashim Amla and Graeme Swann the other nominees in the Cricketer of the Year category. During the year for award August 24, 2009 to August 10, 2010 - Tendulkar scored 1064 runs at an average of 81.84 in ten Tests, also made 914 runs in 17 ODIs at 65.28, on his way to scored first double century of ODI against South Africa in Gwalior.

Indian captain MS Dhoni appointed as captain of the Test Team of the Year, which included Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara, Swann, Tendulkar, Amla, Simon Katich, Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, James Anderson and Doug Bollinger.

Australian ODI captain Ricky Ponting appointed as captain of the ODI Team of the Year, leading a side comprising Tendulkar, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, de Villiers, Paul Collingwood, Dhoni, Daniel Vettori, Stuart Broad, Bollinger and Ryan Harris.

New Zealand's T20 opener, Brendon McCullum, won the award for the best Twenty20 Performance of the Year for his 116 not out against Australia in Christchurch in February, beat edged out Hussey, Mahela Jayawardene and Ryan McLaren.

England fast bowler Steven Finn won the award for Emerging Player of the Year, has taken 32 wickets in 8 matches since his debut. Netherlands allrounder Ryan ten Doeschate won the Associate Player of the Year award.

ICC Spirit of Cricket Award goes to New Zealand for the second time in a row. Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar won the Umpire of the Year Award for the second time in a row.
