Indian Team, Squad for Tri Series in Sri Lanak - Yuvraj back, Tendulkar, Gambhir, Bahjji rested

Indian selectors announced the 15 man squad for upcoming triangular series in Sri Lanka with New Zealand will be the 3rd team starting from 10th August, 2010. Yuvraj Singh returns to ODI squad after dropped in Asia Cup while Sachin Tendulkar, Gautam Gambhir and Harbhajan singh has been rested. inesh Karthik retained his place after match winning show in Asia Cup final. Ishanth Sharma will take injured Zaheer's place while Abhimanyu Mithun will replace Ashok Dinda.

Indian Test Team, Squad announced fro 2010 Sri Lanka Tour - Yuraj, Raina, Sreesanth in

Indian selectors announced the 16 member squad for upcoming 3 match test series in Sri Lanka starting from 18th July, 2010. Test specialist Rahul Dravid and VVS Laxman are back in team while master blaster Sachin Tendulkar also back after rest.

Out of form Yuvraj Singh has been recalled along with fast bowler Sreesanth nad Ishanth Sharma. Suresh Raina also included for the first time as full time player while Wriddhiman Saha will be reserve wicket keeper. Zaheer Khan will lead the pace attack while Harbhajan Singh, Amit Mishra and Pragyan Ojha will take care of spin department.

In a high scoring 2nd Twenty20 International between India and Sri Lanka, India won by 6 wickets with 5 balls remaining and level the series 1-1 on Saturday, 12th December, 2009 at Mohali. Sri Lanka made 206-7 in 20 overs and India made 211-4 in 19.1 overs

Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat first once gain made a 200+ runs thanks to inform captain Sangakkara's 59 runs of 31 balls and poor fielding by India.

In reply India started well as Sehwag made 36 balls 64 runs with 7 fours and 3 sixes and then birthday boy Yuvraj Sing played a blazing inning of 60 runs of just 25 balls with 3 fours and 5 sixes. Dhoni also contributed 46 runs.

This is the highest chase in the Twenty20 match and also the most runs scored in a match, 417 runs in both innings. Yuvraj Singh is Man of the Match for his 50 runs and 3 wickets.

Sri Lanka - 206/7 in 20 overs (Sangakkara 59, Yuvraj 3-23)

India - 211/4 in 19.1 overs (Sehwag 64, Yuvraj 60)

In a high scoring 1st ODI of 4 match series, India beat host West Indies in a high scoring thriller by 20 runs 0n Friday, 26th June, 2009 at Kingston, Jamaica. Ind made 339/6 in 50 overs and WI all out on 319 runs in 48.1 overs.

India scored 339/6 in 50 overs thanks to Yuraj Singh's 11th ODI century, who hit 131 runs off 102 balls with 10 fours and 7 sixes in his inning well supported by Dinesh Karthik who made 67 runs and put 135 runs for the 3rd wicket. In the end Yusuf Pathan and Harbhajan Singh made 41 runs to take the total to 339 runs with 40 runs off 38 balls and 21 runs off 13 balls. Dhni also contributed with 41 runs.

West Indies replied well with 65 runs 1st wicket patnership btween Gayle (37) and Morton (42) and then Sarwan and Chanderpaul contributed 45 runs and 63 runs respectively but wickets at intervals result in 20 runs short. Yusuf Pathan and Ashish Nehra took 3 wickets each.

Match Summary:

India -339/6 in 50 overs.

West Indies - 319 runs all out in 48.1 overs.

Toss -India, who chose to bat first.
