South African bowlers took only 6 overs to remove the remaining 2 Indian wickets and won the 1st test match by an inning and 25 runs as master blaster Sachin Tendulkar looking at the other corner helplessly with his historic 50th test century and finished on unbeaten 111 runs on Monday, 2oth December, 2010 at Centurion.

India fought well on the 4th day thanks to 172 runs partnership between Tendulkar and Dhoni but departure of captain just before the stumps means only rain can save the visitors but sky was clear and Steyn and Morkel took 1 wicket each today to seal well deserved win.

Jacques Kallis got man of the Match for his maiden unbeaten double century with 201*.

South Africa 1st inning - 620/4 dec. in 130.1 overs (Kallis 201*, Amla 140, de Villiers 129)

Sachin Tendulkar takes 1st spot in Test Ranking with 891 points


Sachin Tendulkar marching on the good form with superb performance in just ended 2 match test series against Australia scored 403 runs take the top spot in test ranking for batsmen for the first time since 2002.

Tendulkar's 403 runs at an average of 134 , earned 82 point to reach 891 points and takes the top spot from Sri Lankan captain Kumara Sangakkra who is now 2nd with 17 points behind. Tendulkar has also won the Cricketer of the Year award earlier this month.

Tendulkar is in great form already made 1270 runs in this calender year and has to play 3 tes match against New Zealand at home and 3 match in South Africa later this year and has a good chance to take more than 900 points.

Rahul Dravid held at 22nd spot after poor series while VVs Laxman retained the 8th spot after heroic in 1st test at Mohali as missed 2nd test.

IND vs AUS 2nd Test Result - India won by 7 wickets, won series by 2-0

India comfortably beat Australia in the 2nd test by 7 wickets on the 5th and final day with much ease against thrilling 1st test and proved they are the no.1 team on Wednesday, 13th October, 2010 at Bangalore. India won the 2 match series by 2-0.

India finished the Australian inning in the morning to 223 runs and set a target of 207 runs in more than 75 overs. India then lost Sehwag early but debutant Pujara who promoted up in the order played brilliantly under pressure with 72 runs off just 89 balls and took the match away from Australians. M Vijay also contributed 37 runs and then veterans Tendulkar 53* and Dravid 21* takes the team to victory.

Ricky Ponting's bad luck continues to win a test in India as captain and lost 4 matches in a row. But 2 match series was very competitive with high level performance from both sides with result on last day.

Sachin Tendulkar got Man of the Match for his 214 runs in 1st inning and unbeaten 53 runs in the 2nd inning. He also won Man of the Series award for his 403 runs at an average of 134.43 in 2 matches.

Tendulkar wins ICC Cricketer of the Year Award - Sehwag Test Player and de Villiers ODI

Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar has won his first ICC award, the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy being elected as Cricketer of the Year during the 2010 ICC Award ceremony in Bangalore. India's Virender Sehwag won the Test Cricketer of the Year award and South Africa's AB de Villiers claiming the ODI player of the Year award.

Sachin Tendulkar, beat Virender Sehwag, Hashim Amla and Graeme Swann the other nominees in the Cricketer of the Year category. During the year for award August 24, 2009 to August 10, 2010 - Tendulkar scored 1064 runs at an average of 81.84 in ten Tests, also made 914 runs in 17 ODIs at 65.28, on his way to scored first double century of ODI against South Africa in Gwalior.

Indian captain MS Dhoni appointed as captain of the Test Team of the Year, which included Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara, Swann, Tendulkar, Amla, Simon Katich, Dale Steyn, Jacques Kallis, James Anderson and Doug Bollinger.

Australian ODI captain Ricky Ponting appointed as captain of the ODI Team of the Year, leading a side comprising Tendulkar, Shane Watson, Michael Hussey, de Villiers, Paul Collingwood, Dhoni, Daniel Vettori, Stuart Broad, Bollinger and Ryan Harris.

New Zealand's T20 opener, Brendon McCullum, won the award for the best Twenty20 Performance of the Year for his 116 not out against Australia in Christchurch in February, beat edged out Hussey, Mahela Jayawardene and Ryan McLaren.

England fast bowler Steven Finn won the award for Emerging Player of the Year, has taken 32 wickets in 8 matches since his debut. Netherlands allrounder Ryan ten Doeschate won the Associate Player of the Year award.

ICC Spirit of Cricket Award goes to New Zealand for the second time in a row. Pakistani umpire Aleem Dar won the Umpire of the Year Award for the second time in a row.

India bowled out on 405, trail by 23 runs - Ind vs Aus 3rd Day Photos


India lost 6 wickets in just 51 runs when they were well placed at 154/4 and looking good in a position to take good lead in the first inning when Tendulkar and Raina put 124 runs for the 5th wicket before Sachin missed another century and out on 98 runs and then India lost their last 5 wickets on 23 runs as Mitchel Johnson got 5 wickets for 64 runs. Suresh Raina hit 86 runs while Dravid contributed 77 runs.

1st test match is well poised and can go either way depend on the 2nd inning performance so join here tomorrow for the 4th day coverage.

The second test match between host Sri Lanka and no.1 test team India ended in a bored draw as run feast continue on the 5th and final dayon Friday, 30th July, 2010 at Colombo. Sri Lanka leading the 3 match series by 1-0 with 1 match to go.

Indian last pair batted 27 overs made 707 runs and took 65 runs before Sri Lanka managed 129/3 on the final day. This match is only remember for double centuries by Kumara Sangakkara and Sachin Tendulkar while Suresh Raina hit century on his test debut.

Kumara Sangakkra got Man of the Match for his 219 runs in the 1st inning.

In the 3rd and final ODI, South Africa registered a consolidated win against India by 90 runs, while India won the series by 2-1 on Saturday, 27th February, 2010 at Ahmedabad. SA made 265/2 in 50 overs and bowled out India on 275 in 44.3 overs.

South Africa got a fine start and made 265-2 thanks to brilliant performances by Bosman 68, Hashim Aamla 87 and unbeaten centuries by Kallis 104*, and AB de Villiers 102*. India then without their star players bowled out on275in 44.3 overs while Kohli made 57, Rohit Sharma 48 and Raina 49.

AB de Villiers got Man of the Match while Sachin Tendulkar got Man of the Series for his unbeaten double century in 2nd ODI.

South Africa - 365/2 in 50 overs (Kallis 104, de Villiers 102, Amla 87)

India at last won the 1st test match against Bangladesh which so much difficulty by 112 runs just before tea on the 5th and final day of the match on Thursday, 21st January, 2010 at Chittagong. India leading the 2 match series by 1-0.

India after managed to take 1 run lead in the 1st inning set a target of 415 runs for Bangladesh and then bowled out Bangladesh on 301 runs just before tea on final day despite Mushfiqur Rahim's century, fastest century by Bangladesh 101 runs off 112 balls. Amit Mishra took 4 wickets in 2nd inning.
