After the washed-out 1st one day at Kochi, already short series is further reduced to 2 match series as the 2nd one day between India and Australia will be played on Wednesday, 20th October, 2010 at Andhra Cricket Association-Visakhapatnam District Cricket Association ia a day-night game and timing will be 9:00 GMT, 14:30 IST.

This series is a good chance for youngster to show their talent in the absence of seniors. Shikhar Dhawan and M Vijay will open the inning but the main test will be fast bowlers between Praveen Kumar, Munaf Patel and Ashish Nehra.

Australians will definitely miss in form Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson as Michael Clarke is totally out of form made only 35 runs in 4 test innings and will much depend on Shaun Marsh, David Warner and Cameron White.

IND v AUS 1st ODI Preview at Kochi - India vs Australia Squad for First One Day


After thrilling test series bitter rivals India and Australia will meet in the 1st ODI of three match series on Sunday, 17th October, 2010 at Nehru Stadium, Kochi in a day game and timing will be 3:30 GMT, 9:00 IST.

India will be without their regular openers Sehwag, Tendulkar and Gambhir as Shikhar Dhawan and M Vijay will open the inning and much will depend on them for a good start as both players doing well in IPL as openers. Saubrabh Tiwary may got a chance in place of Rohit Sharma while Dhoni, Raina, Yuvraj and Kohli should do well. Bowling is looking good with the return of Praveen Kumar, Asish Nehra and R Aswin.

Australia also without Ricky Ponting and Shane Watson but the return of ODI specialist Warner, Marsh and Cameron White will boost their chances to register their first win. Michale Hussey nad James Hopes must support in the middle as they have a chance as their bowling is looking weak.

After a thrilling nail-biting 1st test between bitter rivals India and Australia, teams are ready for the second and final test match starting from Saturday, 9th October to Wednesday, 13th Oct, 2010 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengalure and timing will be 4:00 GMT, 9:30 IST. India leading the 2 match series by 1-0.

India will be high on confidence after moral boosting win and they already retained the Border-Gavaskar Trophy even they lost and they will be happy for even a draw but a 2-0 win will improve their points. Gautam Gambhir and 1st test hero Ishant Sharma out due to injury, and likely replace by M Vijay and Sreesanth respectively. Tamil Nadu opener Abhinav Mukund and Saurashtra quick bowler Jaidev Unadkat picked as backup.

Australia already lost Border-Gavaskar Trophy will try to level the series as Ricky Ponting finding his 1st win in India. Watson is in good form but Katich didn't contributed as expected while North failed in both innings. Doug Bollinger didn't bowl on the final session and his inclusion is doubtful.

India lost 6 wickets in just 51 runs when they were well placed at 154/4 and looking good in a position to take good lead in the first inning when Tendulkar and Raina put 124 runs for the 5th wicket before Sachin missed another century and out on 98 runs and then India lost their last 5 wickets on 23 runs as Mitchel Johnson got 5 wickets for 64 runs. Suresh Raina hit 86 runs while Dravid contributed 77 runs.

India on Top after Watson's Century, Aus 224/5 on Day 1 - Ind vs Aus 1st Test 2nd Day Live Score


India dropped Shane Watson on zero and then 27 and helped him to reach century after removing Katich early but restricted Australia only on 224/5 and ended the day on top at the stump of day 1 in the first test at Mohali.

Australia were well placed on 154/1 after 40 overs but managed only 70 runs in the next 50 overs due to tight bowling by spinners Harbhajan and Ojha. Zaheer Khan was pick of the bowlers with 3 wickets including 2 wickets in 2 overs in the end.

Shane Watson played 279 balls in his century of 101* and played a major role in dropping the run rate. India has a good chance now to wrap up the inning early and then score decent runs.

So the countdown begins for the test series between top two test team as 1st test between host India and Australia will be played from Friday, 1st October to Tuesday, 5th October, 2010 at Punjab Cricket Association Stadium, Mohali, Chandigarh and the timing wil be 4:00 GMT, 9:30 IST.

India holding the top ranking with 127 points and even if the lost the series they will be at no.1 but this is a good chance to extend their ranking. Gautam Gambhir is back at top and if he and Sehwag able to give good start and then Tendulkar, Dravid and Laxman have to extend. Raina probably retain his place in the team after good show in CLT20. India's success will highly be depend on their bowler's Zaheer, Ishant and Harbhajan.

Australia will try to regain their lost pride as they had lost the series last year. Shane watson and Simon Katisch is in good touch at top of the order. Doug Bollinger and Michael Hussey will be high after done well in the just ended 2010 CLT20.

Australia Test Squad Team for Series against India - Hughes, Hauritzd in

Australian selectors announced 15-member for their 2 match test series against host India in October, 2010 under the captaincy of Ricky Ponting. Opener Phillip Hughes and offspinner Nathan Hauritz are back in team after injury. 19 year old fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has also included in the team for the first time along with Peter George.

Tim Paine will be the wicket keeper as regular keeper Haddin is stiil not available due to injury. Douge Bollinger is also back in team after injury and doing well in ongoing CLT20 in South Africa.

Josh Hazlewood is now injured due to back stress fracture and replace by Mitchell Starc and James Pattinson.

In a low scoring and one side match Australia beat host India by 6 wickets with 49 balls remaining in the 6th ODI and won the 7 match series by 4-2 on Sunday, 8th November, 2009 at Guwahati.

India bowled out on 170 runs in 48 overs due to fine bowling by Doug Bollinger, who took 5-27 and then chased comfortably with Shane Watson's run a ball 49 runs.

Tendulkar's 45th ODi century took India very close to a remarkable victory but it was so near so far as India lost the 5th ODI by 3 runs against Australia on Thursday, 5th November, 2009 at Hyderabad.

Australia made 350/4 in 50 overs thanks to Shaun Marsh century and India needed just 19 runs in last 18 balls with4 wicketsin hand and Sachin and Jadeja was batting when Tendulkar got out and team collapsed once again. Tendulkar made 175 runs of just 141 balls with 19 fours and 4 sixes.
