Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh 1st ODI Preview, Teams at Mirpur - Idea Cup Tri-Series 1st Match

Firts match of the Idea Cup tri-series will be played between host Bangladesh and Sri Lanka on Monday, 4th January, 2010 at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur in a say-night game starting from 15:30 local, 08:30 GMT, 14:00 IST.

Sri Lanka just lost the ODI series against India and now they will try to make compensation and they are looking favorite against the host. Dilshan, Tharanga and Sangakkara are in good form and they need to work in the middle order in the absance of Jayawardhane.

Bangladesh won last series against West Indies under the captaincy of Shakib-al-Hasan and opener Tamin Iqbal done well. The included two ICL players in the team and looking balanced team at home.

Bangladesh selectors announced 15-members team for home tri-series including India and Sri Lanka under the captaincy of Shakib Al Hasan. Fats bowler Mashrafe Mortaza not picked for the series as he is not fully recovered from knee injury. Two ICL players opener Shahriar Nafees and batsman Aftab Ahmed along with new fast bowler Shafiul Islam also included in the team.

After winning the home series against Sri Lanka, India is ready to clinch one more trophy in Bangladesh as Indian selectors announced Indian team for tri-series starting from 4th January, 2010. Sachin Tendulkar opted out of the tri-series for rest but available for test series and Rohit Sharma will replace him who just hit a triple century in Ranji.

Injured Yuvraj Singh and Sreesanth are declared fit while out of form Ishanth Sharma and Praveen Kumar has been dropped. Find the 16-members Indian team for tri-series in Bangladesh.

After disappointing tour of India, Sri Lankan selectors made major changes for the upcoming tri-series in Bangladesh starting from January 4, 2010. Veteran Sanath Jayasuriya, Laisth Malinga, Kapugedera and Ajantha Mendis are axed from the team.
