India took revenge of 1st match defeat against Sri Lanka as they comfortably beat them by 8 wickets in the second round 5th match of tri-series on Sunday, 10th January, 2010 at Mirpur. SL bowled out on 213 in 46.1 overs and India scored 214/2 in 32.4 0vers.Sri Lanka won toss and reuced to 84/6 but Sangakkara and Randiv made half centuries but finally bowled out on 213 runs due to fine bowling by Zaheer and Mishra took 3 wickets each. India then comfortably chased thanks to half centuries by Gambhir 71 and Kohli unbeaten 71* runs.
Both the team will meet again in the final of Idea Cup tri series on Wednesday, 13th January, 2010.
