IND v BAN 2011 CWC 1st Match Result - Sehwag, Kohli & Munaf stars in India's 87 runs win
Title favorite India started their hunt for 2011 World Cup very well with a huge 87 runs win over c0-host Bangladesh in the opening game on Saturday, 19th February, 2011 at Mirpur. IND made 370/4 in 50 overs and BAN made 283/9 in 50 overs.India started well with 69 runs for the 1st wicket and Sehwag 175 runs off 140 balls with 14 fours and 5 sixes and Virat Kohli 100 not out off 83 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes took the match away with 203 runs in 24 overs and set a huge total.
Bangladesh also stared well with 56 runs in 7 overs but Munaf Patel who took 4 wickets and Harbhajan bowled brilliantly and dried up the runs and they were always behind the run rate.
