Indian selectors announced the team for 1st test starting from Saturday, 6th February, 2010 at Nagpur. Tamil Nadu Batsman S Badrinath included in the team and likely make his debut as 2 batsmen Dravid and Yuvraj out due to injury while Karnataka fast bowler Abhimanyu Mithun will replace injured Sreesanth.

Bengal wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha replaced Dinsh Karthik, who shown poor form in Bangladesh as a back up of MS Dhoni.
