Host Sri Lanka beat in-form New Zealand in a close low scoring 2nd ODI of Micromax tri-series on Friday, 13th August, 2010 at Dambulla. NZL all out on 192 runs in 48.1 overs and SRL made 195/7 in 40.5 overs.

New Zealand won the toss again lost Guptill on the 2nd ball and due to tight bowling managed only 192 runs as only opener Walting made 55 runs. In reply Sri Lanka was well placed on 164/3 but some quick wickets made the game tough and won by 3 wickets with 55 balls remaining.

Sri Lanka lost the Asia Cup final against India here and will try to compensate in this series. Dilshan, Sanga and Jayawardhane aree all in good form but they will miss Muralitharan who is rested for this series.

New Zealand crushed favorite India by by their biggest margin of 200 runs in the 1st match of Micromax Tri Series on Tuesday, 10th August, 2010 at Dambulla. NZL made 288 in 48.5 overs and Ind all out on 88 runs in 29.3 overs.

New Zealand after reduced to 28/3 fought back with 190 runs partnership between new captain Ross Taylor and Scott Styris in 31 overs made 95 and 89 runs respectively to set a huge total of 288 runs. India then started well with 39 runs opening stand but then all out on 88 runs and lost by 200 runs, their biggest defeat against New Zealand.
