Pakistan Team, Squad for Asia Cup 2010 - Shaib Akhtar and Malik recalled for Pak Asia cup squad

Pakistan selectors recalled two Shoaibs, Akhtar and Malik for the upcoming Micromax Asia Cup 2010 in Sri Lanka. Akhtar was out of action for last 1 year while Malik was banned for 1 year by PCB but last month judicial judgment allowed him to play again for country.

Many new faces Shahzaib Hasan, who played in T20 World Cup 2010, Umar Amin and Asad Shafiq has been included in the ODI team for the first time.

New Sri Lankan selectors panel headed by Arvinda de Silva dropped veteran 40 year old Sanath Jayasuriya and spinner Ajantha Mendis from th 15-member squad for Asia Cup 2010 at home. Sangakkara, Jayawardhan and Muralitharan is back after rested for tri-series in Zimbabwe while fast-bowling allrounder Farveez Maharoof is back.

Bangladesh selectors announced 15-member squad for Micromax Asia Cup 2010 in Sri Lanka starting from 15th June. 2010. Out of form middle order batsman Mohammad Ashraful has been recalled in the One Day team while top order batsman Aftab Ahmed have left out. Team will be led by all rounder Shakin Al Hasanas medium pacer Sayed Rasel also included in the team.

Traditional Cricket Asia Cup is going to start from 15th June, 2010 in Sri Lanka with four Asian giants India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Each team will play one game with others and top two teams will play the final on 24th June, 2010. All matches will be day-night at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium.

Sri Lanka lost their last match to host but they rested some of the key players and all rounder Angelo Mathews can also return from injury. Chandimal scored his maiden century against India while Dilshan is also in good touch.

Zimbabwe has a fairy tail so far beat both India and Sri Lanka in league matches and they will try to win rare final. They will mainly depend on openers Hamilton Masakadza and Brendan Taylor while spinners also doing well and this is also their 100th ODI.
