India won the 4th and final test match by 172 runs on the 5th day and hence the series and Border Gavaskar Trophy by 2-0 on Monday, 10th November, 2008 at Nagpur. Chasing a target of 382 runs to retain the trophy http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ bowled out on 209 runs before tea.

http://cancunallinclusivevacation.net/ started the chase from 13/0 and soon reduced to 50/2 but Hayden was in good form and fought well with 77 runs and after that Australian collpased and all out on 209 runs in 50.2 overs.

This is India's first series win over Australia in eight years and regained the coveted Border-Gavaskar trophy. India also won the 2nd match at Mohali. Indian spinners Harbhajan and Amit Mishra bowled superbly took 4 and 3 wickets respectively.

Dhoni let the Saurav Ganguly, playing his last test as a tribute to captain the side and that was a defining spirit for the game and Indian cricket.

Debutant Jason KKrejza awarded Man of the Match for his 12 wickets in the match and Ishanth Sharma has won the car for Man of the Series.

Australia 1st Inning - 355 all out 134.4 overs.

India 2nd Inning - 295 all out in 82.4 overs.

4 match series between India and Australiaa still in the interesting stage for the final day of the series as India set a target of 382 runs for Australia to win this Test match and retain the Border Gavaskar Trophy in maximum 91 overs. India made 295 runs in the 2nd inning and 86 runs 1st inning lead.

India got a cracking start as Sehwag and Vijay put 116 runs 1st wicket partnership in 28 overs before middle order collapsed and reduced to 166/6. But a fine partnership of 108 runs between skipper Dhoni and Harbhajan put India in a safe position. Unfortunately Saurav Ganguly out on a duck in his last inning.

Australia have a chanse to win this test and level the sries and retain the trophy. Krejza and Watson bowled well and took 4 wickets each. Krejza finished his debut Test with figures of 12 for 358.

India take 86 runs lead in 4th Test vs Aus - 4th day Live Score

India put the pressure back on the world champion Australia by taking a crucial 86 runs 1st inning lead at the stump of day 3 of the 4th and final test match in Nagpur. India bowled out Australia on 355 just before the stumps and were zero without loss in the 2nd inning with 2 days left.

Australia started the day from 189/2 but allowed to scored only 45 runs in the first session of the day due to discipline off side bowling with packed off side fielding. Katich completed his century but departed soon and three quick wickets in 2nd session and Hussey run out on 90 put Australian on the back foot.

For India, Harbhajan Singh took 3 wickets, Sharma nad Mishra took 2 wickets each and Zaheer Khan took 1 and two brilliant run outs by debutant M Vijay.

Australia trailing the series by 1-0 and has to win this match in order to retain Gavaskar Border Trophy and India needs just a draw to clinch the series. So watch for the 4th day match on Sunday, 9th november and see what both team do.
